The Core Stuff
I am an avid, lifelong boater and boat lover. I dabbled extensively with yacht design in high school and have recently gotten back into it more seriously. I built a boat when I was 16 and recently was able to get back into building courtesy of the Peace Canoe design.
My current on-going design project is an 18′ outrigger canoe. I also began a 35′ double-ended racer-cruiser sloop in the “Spirit of Tradition” mold as part of a design class I took at the Wooden Boat School. Not sure when I’ll get that going again. My design interest is in naturally-powered small boats, ideally marrying elements of traditional craft (especially “indigenous” boats) with modern technology to make beautiful but high-performance boats.
